Cameo Carlson, Head of Digital Business Dev. at Borman Entertainment – This Week in Music

This is one of my favorite episodes of the series, so far. Cameo Carlson and Ian Rogers talk, at length, about establishing direct and deep connections with fans of an artist they (Borman) represent. Spending time, resource, and money in the short-term to establish long-term revenue streams for an artist. Cameo gets “it”, Borman Entertainment gets “it”, if only more artist managers got “it” there would actually be a bigger musician middle-class.

Excellent interview, Ian and Cameo

In the 29th episode of the This Week in Music Nashville Series of interviews. Ian Rogers sits down with Cameo Carlson, Head of Digital Business Development at Borman Entertainment. The two talk about the interaction between labels and iTunes, which parts of iTunes create the most impact for artists, new cost structures for management companies, and her role and initiatives at Borman Entertainment.
